Daryl “Stretch” Murphy is a Rising Hearts Athlete Advocate, runner, and community leader from Columbus, Ohio. He practices yoga with his wife and takes his daughter on stroller runs several days a week. During the pandemic, he started a grassroots initiative “Miles For Justice” where he embarked on a 5k a day run streak to raise money and awareness for social causes. The run streak is still going strong and he has run more than 1600 consecutive days in a row while raising more than $20,000. Murphy also leads the Nike Run Club, which is a weekly community “walk & run” that encourages people of all fitness levels to get moving no matter their pace or experience.
