Brands and their products are often the first point of contact for new and experienced outdoor participants alike. That position gives them enormous influence, not just in shaping purchasing decisions, but in shaping outdoor behaviors. From trip planning and gear selection to destination choice and on-the-ground decisions, brands are a powerful and often underutilized channel for practical stewardship education.
This session will explore how outdoor brands can integrate their commitment to sustainability and stewardship into their identity and everyday communications in ways that feel authentic and relevant. By embedding this into brand messaging and customer engagement, companies can strengthen trust, build loyalty, and actively participate in protecting the places that make the outdoor economy possible.
