Julie Brown is the Sr. Director of Engagement and Impact at the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA). In this role, Julie oversees how OIA works with the broader industry to achieve global impact. This had been demonstrated with OIA’s Climate Action Corps and Clean Chemistry & Materials Coalition, ensuring that these programs provide opportunities for companies to collaborate to achieve a greater collective outcome. Julie has significant experience with member organizations, having previously served as a Director of the Higg Index, a suite of sustainability measurement tools, at Cascale (formerly the Sustainable Apparel Coalition) for nearly a decade. Based in Santa Barbara, California, Julie loves hitting the trails year-round. She is also a classical pianist and a commercially rated pilot.
