Nick Kovaleski (he/him) is an athlete and advocate; most passionate about environmental sustainability and LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion.  He served for three years on the board of San Francisco FrontRunners, the founding chapter of a worldwide network of LGBTQIA+ running and walking clubs. During his time as Race Director for SFFR, Nick hosted the first Pride Run that included a Non-Binary division (2021).  Also the RD for the A Runner’s Mind Gobble Wobble, Nick now reaches out to other local race directors to encourage them to include an NB division for their races. Little by little, we can create the shift that’s needed to encourage races of all sizes to create a division that will allow everyone to race in the division they feel most comfortable participating in.
