Nick Kovaleski (he/him) is an athlete and advocate; most passionate about environmental sustainability and LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion.  He served for three years on the board of San Francisco FrontRunners, the founding chapter of a worldwide network of LGBTQIA+ running and walking clubs.  During his time as Race Director for SFFR, Nick hosted the first Pride Run that included a Non-Binary division (2021).  Also the RD for the A Runner’s Mind Gobble Wobble, Nick now reaches out to other local race directors to encourage them to include a NB division for their races.  Little by little, we can create the shift that’s needed to encourage races all of sizes to create a division that will allow everyone to race, in the division they feel most comfortable parcipating in.
