Behind every trail shoe, rain jacket, and backpack on a shop wall is someone most consumers never see – the outdoor sales representative. They are the connective tissue between brands and retailers: introducing new product lines, educating buyers and floor staff, merchandising displays, and keeping everyone informed and moving in the same direction. That dual view gives reps an early read on where the market is heading and how to strategize around that. So, what are they seeing now, and how can we build on these partnerships to move the whole industry forward?
In this webinar, Switchback brings together speakers from two of the collectives shaping that work – Outdoor Market Alliance (OMA) and the Western Winter Sports Representatives Association (WWSRA) – for a candid look at who today’s reps really are, the pressures reshaping that role, and how they’re keeping brands and retailers in sync through a complex, shifting outdoor retail market.
It’s rare to hear directly from the people working both sides of the counter – and they have plenty to share. What’s working? Where are the real opportunities? And what should brands and retailers prioritize to build partnerships that last?
This conversation offers a first-hand look at the relationships that hold the outdoor market together – and will deliver valuable insights on where to go from here.
